1. Preheat oven to 375°F and prepare your cake pan.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth and combined.
3. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
4. Slowly add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, alternating with the whole milk. Begin and end with the dry ingredients, mixing just until the batter comes together.
5. Pour the batter into your prepared pan and bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely.
6. While the cake cools, slice your peaches and sprinkle them with sugar. Let the peaches macerate, allowing the sugar to draw out their natural juices and create a sweet, syrupy topping.
7. Make the vanilla whipped cream by whipping together the cold heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
8. Top the cooled cake with the vanilla whipped cream and finish with the macerated peaches.
9. Slice, serve, and enjoy! 🍑
